Each year, Burke Presbyterian Church features a Lenten Soup and Study series.  This series features guest speakers, a simple meal, quiet contemplation and fellowship during Lent.

We sponsor a weekly lecture series on Tuesday evenings during the season of Lent. We share a simple soup supper, listen to a speaker, and have discussion. Past series have examined: Discovering Everyday Spirituality (2008), A Beautiful Thing: Exploring the Creative and Liturgical Arts (2007), The Jesus We Never Knew: Who Jesus was and the message of his ministry, death and resurrection (2006), Serving God, Serving Country: Living Your Faith in Turbulent Times (2005), Profiles in Courage and Hope (2004), The Problem of Evil (2003), Prayer and the Holy Spirit (2002), Faith at Work (2001), and Issues of the New Millennium (2000).
