Godly Play

Children in kindergarten through second grade are invited to Godly Play Worship during the 8:30 and 11:15 worship services each Sunday. Children begin worship in the Meeting House with their family, and are led to the Children's Worship Center following the children's message.

Godly Play Worship provides an opportunity for children to experience engaging biblical storytelling, explore questions of faith, and participate in their choice of response activity. Godly Play recognizes the spirituality of children and provides a setting in which participants and leaders can experience the mystery and joy of God.

Godly Play is offered periodically in other settings for all ages at Burke Presbyterian Church, including adult retreats and Sunday School classes, children's Sunday School and Rainbow classes, and the senior high Confirmation class.

Our leadership team is also available to bring Godly Play to personalized settings for pastoral care or other situations.

Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones is offered for preschoolers (age 3-5) each week during the 11:15 service. Children engage in the Bible stories through experiential learning and play.

Children are led from the Meeting House to Stepping Stones following the children’s message. Parents are asked to pick up their children following the service.
