The new year begins September 9.
We have several options for adults during the week and on Sundays:
- Feasting on the Word: This will be an ongoing lectionary-based study and one that is easy to drop in and out of as you are available. No preps/homework required! (Sundays at 10:15)
- A study series on the texts of Wisdom. This will coincide with the sermon series. (Sundays at 10:15)
- Becoming disciples through Bible study. Two options: Thursday evenings, 7-9:30, beginning September 27, and Sunday afternoons, 4-6:30, beginning September 23. For those two Disciple Bible Study groups, we ask for a commitment (34 weeks) for 2-hour weekly sessions and daily readings. We’re reading the entire Bible from creation to the New Jerusalem. Sign up for either class by contacting Arlene Decina or by going to this online form: goo.gl/MeuLtK
- Tuesday Morning Bible Study: This group will gather weekly to read and discuss a book of the Bible, chapter by chapter, beginning this fall with The Acts of the Apostles. We will go at our own pace: No expertise required, just a willingness to wonder and question and to listen for the Spirit and to one another. We will meet Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:00 a.m., beginning September 18.
These sessions are designed to be a refreshing gathering place and a conversational learning opportunity for parents of children who are attending Rainbow, although all are welcome. Group conversation might include the challenges and joys of finding and following ways to live and walk a life of faith in families, with children, and in a faith community.
