Join us for Lent.

Distinguished guest speaker Kate Bowler said at our March 1 event that Lent is really “the season of terrible.” It’s the season of waiting. The season of betrayal and loss and violence. It’s the season of questions and doubts. For us at BPC, it’s also the season of community. Of sorting through the hard stuff together, and celebrating the joys as well. This season we are devoting study and sermon time to talk of the cross: This ancient symbol is everywhere, it seems, but what exactly happened on it? What does it mean for us today? Come find out. We worship Sundays at 9 and 11, and Sunday school starts at 10:15. Our special services this season include Ash Wednesday (March 6 at 7:30); Maundy Thursday (Thursday, April 18 at 7:30); Good Friday (Friday, April 19 at 7:30); and Easter morning: 8:30, 10, and 11:30.
