BPC supports many national and international Mission programs through contributions of our time or financial assistance.
Adult and Youth Work Camps/Disaster Assistance: We engage in projects across the country to aid those who are homeless or victims of natural disasters.
Bread for the World: A nationwide Christian movement that seeks justice for the World’s hungry by lobbying U.S. decision-makers.
BPC/Kibwezi Tumaini Orphan Care Program: An outreach program to assist orphaned children where they are now living or to provide “rescue” support if existing living conditions are inadequate or unsafe.
BPC/Kibwezi Partnership: A long-term relationship with our sister Presbyterian Church in Kibwezi, Kenya, helping to support a mission area with fifteen congregations, a vocational training center, primary school and several preschools. BPC sponsors a work camp group every three years to experience worship and work with the Kenyans.
Church World Service (CWS): Funds, hygiene and baby kits are provided after disasters throughout the world.
Malawi Anti-Retroviral Drug Program (MARVLD): Through a partnership with Livingstonia Synod of the Church of Central Africa Presbytery, BPC supports a program to provide HIV anti-retroviral drugs at Embangweni Hospital; supports a preschool in Sazu; and contributes to the support of two PCUSA mission partners: a medical missionary and a missionary for early education and development.
Equal Exchange/Presbyterian Coffee Project: Fair trade sales of coffee/tea/chocolate support farmers overseas.
Walking With Africans: A microfinance program created by two BCP members, which provides loans to people in Africa who don’t have access to banks. The result is the creation of small businesses that lead to self-sufficiency and healthier communities.
