The BPC Session has voted unanimously to suspend all in-person activities at BPC (including worship) effective Friday, March 13, due to the coronavirus. Still, we are offering many ways to communicate and engage in community. Please note that the material not in red on this page applies to “ordinary time” at BPC, and as we all know, this is extraordinary time. So pay attention to what is in red for now (and to key links, which are green), and thank you for your ongoing grace, support, and all the ways you continue to “be church” to a world that so desperately needs it.
Worship, Prayer, and Pastoral Time
No matter who you are or where you are, you are welcome to worship with us virtually. We are gathering every Sunday morning worship at 10:00 am, now through the end of May, through Zoom videoconferencing. All you need to do is click.
2.) Psalms, Prayers, (not on the) Premises: Midweek Prayers
We have reserved what we are calling the online “Zoom Room” for Wednesdays at 12:05 p.m., now through the end of May for quiet, reflective prayer time. All are welcome to “stop by” for time with Pastor David.
3.) Coffee Talk: Pastor David’s Office Hours
How Can We Help You?
The BPC deacons are working to connect with people with resources. If you are sick or need assistance getting groceries, medications, or just could use a friendly connection, we are here: Write firstname.lastname@example.org.
Adults and Children: Spiritual Growth
Godly Play will be offered twice weekly in the coming weeks. All are welcome to join the “circle” on Zoom — children and families, youth, adults. We will gather and welcome one another, hear and see a story, and then wonder together. You will be invited — during the wondering time — to chime in out loud, via chat, or just inside your own head. Each session stands on its own, so you are welcome to join whenever you are available. Details and links are here:
Wednesday Afternoon Godly Play, Faces of Easter (Lent series)
4:30 PM on March 25, April 1, and April 8
Sunday Afternoon Godly Play, Stories for the Soul
4:00 PM on March 22, March 29, and April 5
We continue this multi-age Sunday School series, moving through the desert from the Journey of Abraham and Sarah all the way into the time of Exile.
Youth Connections is staying true to its purpose of connecting youth to community, mission, and God. We’re gathering online throughout the week, with time set aside to just hang out, study the Bible, and do all kinds of fun stuff together (Minecraft! Bob Ross Painting!) We’re building the track as we go, so contact Youth Ministries Pastor Adam Ogg (Adam@burkepreschurch.org) if you would like to get looped into communications.
