The Advent 2023 issue contains
- Information about special worship services and gatherings for Advent and Christmas Eve, including our multi-generation event during the Sunday School hour on December 3, “Celebrate the Season”
- A note from Pastor Becca, with “A Very BPC Christmas List”
- Many ways to help our neighbors during Advent, including the following efforts with a collection date of December 3: Bethany Stockings, Christ House Sweaters, and Toys/Teen Gifts for ECHO’s Holiday Gift Store. Gifts for our adopted Homestretch family will be collected on December 10, and if you’d like to help provided a Christmas meal for an ECHO family, please contact ECHO by December 11. Alternative Gifts are back this year, with 13 different organizations/programs you can support.
- More opportunities for Mission, including a blood drive at BPC on December 9, a mission trip to Kenya in July 2024, Equal Exchange coffee/chocolate sales, and our social witness group. Also, BPC will host the Fairfax/FACETS Hypothermia Prevention Program in February 2024.
