“Nightingales” Bible Study Group

This lively and lovely group of ladies meets monthly on the third Thursday from 11:30am to 1:00pm.  We currently meet via Zoom but are looking this year to offer hybrid connections, so that some may stay connected at home via Zoom and others may gather at our church.  For our curriculum this year, we have decided to read a chapter a month in Hope – A User’s Manual, a book written by former BPC Associate Pastor Rev. MaryAnn McKibben Dana.…

AA Meeting

An Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) group meets at BPC on Thursdays from 8:30 to 9:30 pm. To access the meeting room, enter the building through a single side door, just around the corner from the main entrance. Walk straight through a large room (the main entrance doors will be on your left) to the East Wing classrooms. The group meets in a double room, E4/E5. For more information, visit the group’s meeting page on the Virginia Alcoholics Anonymous website.

Men of Burke (MOB)

Men of Burke (MOB) meets twice a month for fellowship and mutual support. For more information, contact Bob Hemm via the church office, at 703-764-0456 or office@BurkePresChurch.org.

Back by popular demand . . . Youth Ministry is hosting a second congregational day of service! Youth and their families, as well as other members of the BPC community, are invited to join us for a few hours during the day on Saturday, September 23 (or in the evening on Friday, September 22). We’ve lined up a variety of mission projects, including support for an animal shelter, several food pantries, and a clothing thrift shop. We’re also going to…

CROP Hunger Walk Fundraiser Chipotle

33% of event sales will be donated to the Burke/Fairfax CROP Hunger Walk! Burke Presbyterian Church will host the 31st Burke/Fairfax CROP Hunger Walk on November 5, 2023.

Sunday Morning Scriptures

We gather on Sunday mornings on Zoom to read and discuss the sermon text for morning worship. Look for the Zoom link in Friday’s email. For more information, contact the church office at 703-764-0456 or office@BurkePresChurch.org.

Exploring Membership class

You’re invited to explore membership at Burke Presbyterian Church! If you have been attending BPC for awhile or are brand new here, we hope you are finding your time with us meaningful, inspiring, challenging, and even fun. Searching for and visiting any new church can feel awkward or uncertain; we hope you have met some great people and found places to fit in and get connected. If you are thinking about joining us or just want to learn more about Presbyterians…

IMPACT Youth Choir Rehearsal

IMPACT rehearses on Sundays from 4:00 to 5:15pm and leads in worship on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. In June, the choir travels by bus on a tour of music and mission.  All 7th through 12th grade students are warmly invited! Friends and new members are always welcome! For more information, please get in touch with Director of Music Ministries Julianne Erbrecht by email (music@BurkePresChurch.org) or phone (703-764-0456).

Monday Night Women’s Bible Study

This intergenerational group meets one Monday night most months to share prayer concerns, study scripture, and develop and deepen friendships. The group, which meets in person with an option to join via Zoom, uses the Presbyterian Women’s annual Bible Study. There’s generally no meeting in July, August, or December. For more information, please contact the church office at 703-764-0456 or office@BurkePresChurch.org.

Your whole family is invited to join us for this time of fellowship, whether or not you’ve decided to participate in Rainbow for the coming year. Please let us know how many adults and kids to expect, as well as any food restrictions. Sent your RSVP by email to Arlene Decina, Director of Spiritual Growth Ministries, at children@BurkePresChurch.org.
