Our congregation is participating in an interreligious effort to build understanding and solidarity across differences. Please join us along with our six partner faith communities for a site visit to St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
At St. Bernadette, you’ll be greeted by our colleagues with warm hospitality. You’ll learn the story and heart of their faith, church and community, witness a ritual, tour the space, hear from members, and join in an engaging dialogue over dinner. We want your curiosity and your questions, and hope you will join us to learn more about this faith and to meet your neighbors.
The evening includes a youth track for ages 11 through 17. The youth track, which will be led by two youth educators and an architect, will invite participants to reflect on aspects of sacred space and architecture and learn what it’s like to be an architect.
RSVP required by Wednesday, July 12th. Learn more and register at www.sharingsacredspaces.org/events.
This visit is part of the Interreligious Communities Project Northern Virginia with Sharing Sacred Spaces and local host Rumi Forum.
All are welcome!
