IMPACT Youth Choir Sponsor-a-Bus-Seat Campaign

To donate by check, make it payable to Burke Presbyterian Church with “IMPACT Sponsor a Bus Seat” in the memo line and mail to 5690 Oak Leather Drive, Burke, VA 22015.

June 2023 tour to Kentucky

More about the fundraiser, from Director of Music Ministries Julianne Erbrecht

This fall marks the beginning of the 19th season for IMPACT Youth Choir at Burke Presbyterian Church. Since 2005, IMPACT has provided a musically engaging, relational, and faith-nurturing environment for teenagers. The choir has provided meaningful music at Burke Presbyterian and in communities from Georgia to Maine and New Jersey to Illinois. Students have visited nursing homes, stocked food pantry shelves, and weeded in community gardens. This choir has truly had an impact on many lives.

The highlight of the IMPACT year is an annual choir tour in June. IMPACT has traveled 16 out of the last 18 seasons and the costs, especially the cost of transportation, continue to rise. In 2023 the bus cost $14,870 for a five-day tour. This year the choir is launching a “Sponsor a Bus Seat” campaign to offset the cost of the tour bus. We could really use your help!

Our tour bus has 56 passenger seats. The goal is to have each seat fully sponsored and raise $11,000 by November 30. Any donation amount is welcome, and you are encouraged to consider a full, half, or quarter seat donation (or more!).

  • Full seat – $200
  • Half seat – $100
  • Quarter seat – $50

You can donate online or by check to Burke Presbyterian Church with “IMPACT Sponsor a Bus Seat” in the memo line. All donations are tax deductible.

On behalf of IMPACT, thank you in advance for your generosity and support of this ministry that has impacted the lives of more than 150 teenagers over the last 18 years.

Peace,

Julianne
