Job Openings: Associate Pastor for Youth
Burke Presbyterian Church is a 600-member congregation with 270 average Sunday worship in suburban Northern Virginia (less than 20 miles west of Washington, DC) that is welcoming to all. We are seeking an Associate Pastor! Confirmation – Fall 2024
A new Confirmation class starts this fall. If you are a rising 8th or 9th grader, or if you are in high school and haven’t yet been through a confirmation class, we are excited to invite you to a year-long exploration of the Christian faith. Classes will be held monthly on Sunday evenings, starting in September. If you’re interested, please reach out to Kyle Putnam (kyle@burkepreschurch.org).

Burke Lake Park Nights-Youth
New this Summer! We are introducing summer nights at Burke Lake Park! Beginning June 7th from 7-8pm, all rising 7th through graduated seniors are invited to come to Burke Lake park to just hang out and play games! This is a casual get together for whoever can make it! Community Meals
After the successful efforts for the Hypothermia Shelter last winter, we are continuing our outreach by supporting FACETS hot meals program. FACETS is a local organization that supports people in vulnerable situations. Starting Wednesday, June 5th, our community meals team will be preparing 150 meals for the FACETS van to transport to people in need. We will continue this on the first Wednesday of every month. Community Table
On the second Tuesday of each month, we work together to host our neighbors for a free meal and conversation around tables in the Gathering Space. Doors open at 5:30pm; dinner is served at 6:00pm. There are many different ways that you and your family can be part of this relatively new ministry at BPC — baking ahead of time, preparing food in the BPC kitchen, hospitality, set up, and clean up.
